Frame & Fork
The ride is comfortable but lively and stable thanks to Cannondale’s S.E.R.G Endurance geometry. Essentially the headtube is taller, the wheelbase is longer and the head angle is slacker than their Elite Race Geometry.
What does this mean? A more balanced ride somewhere between a pure racing position and upright comfort. This is ideal for longer days in the saddle, and improved handling on all road surfaces.
Cannondale’s BallisTec Carbon technology create a frame which is super lightweight and very strong…it’s also stiff too for efficient power transfer. SAVE Plus micro-suspension in the rear triangle, fork, seatpost and seat tube all work together to reduce road buzz – and also improve comfort and handling.
The frame on the Synapse Carbon 105 is really very high quality.
Not content with just creating an optimised frame, Cannondale also spec the Synapse with good quality and capable components.
A full Shimano 105 groupset (11 speed) provides reliable and crisp performance over a wide range of gears. It’s also worth noting that the frame is Di2 ready for a future upgrade. Shimano RS11 rims come with a 24mm profile for a slight aero advantage.
