We want to make it as easy as possible for you if you want to return an un-wanted item. You can return un-opened and un-used items within 30 days with a proof of purchase for an exchange or refund . Please note this does not include bikes and helmets. For more details please see our full returns policy.

Returns Policy

If you have received a product from us that is either faulty or unwanted please first contact us before returning the item. ALL unwanted goods must be returned with a copy of the original receipt, original packaging and in a resalable condition. If you are unhappy with your item then we will be happy to offer an exchange or refund within 30 days of the purchase date. PLEASE NOTE that this does not apply to bikes and helmets. If you decide that you are not happy with your new bike after you have picked it up or taken delivery then please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue. We advise customers to take as much time as they need to make sure that they buy the correct bike and we have many bikes available for test ride to help in reaching the right decision. We do NOT offer a fault-free refund option on bikes.

 

 If you have received discounted goods as part of a sales package we will only be able to offer a refund if ALL the goods are received in a re-saleable condition, we will be happy to replace a component of an order should that prove to be faulty.

 

 

Postage refunds, Warranty faults

All our products are from official suppliers and are covered by their respective manufacturers UK warranty. We will refund or replace any faulty goods, but only after we have had chance to examine them to verify that they are faulty. After first contacting us to obtain a returns code, please return the goods using a budget delivery service – Royal Mail, or Royal Mail signed-for on expensive items. Once we have established that the goods are faulty we will send you a replacement or repaired product free of charge and will refund the return postage.

It is not only unique in its ride quality but in its aesthetic, exuding an elegance that hearkens back to the simple beauty of the original design. From the gold lined black alloy Westwood rims to the Brooks B17 leather saddle that has graced the best racing cycles for over 100 years, every aspect of the Guv’nor has been carefully selected to evoke the glory of path racing history. Add to this the benefits of Sturmey Archer hub brakes, enclosed to be reliable in all weathers, and puncture resistant Schwalbe tyres and the Guv’nor becomes the epitome of refined British road cycling with the very best componentry.
 
The Guv’nor is a real head  turner that has the performance to match, guaranteed to give you years of riding and racing pleasure.
  1. Iconic North Road handlebars: A Path Racer wouldn’t be complete without North Road dropped handlebars. These beautiful swept bars offer iconic style and a relaxed racing position. Finished with Pashley’s hand-crafted fine leather grips.
  2. Brass ‘ping’ Bell: A classic bell that is a refined addition to any bicycle. The bell has a domed shape body with a simple sprung finger mechanism that sounds out a clear ‘ting’ to let others know you're approaching.  The bell can be attached to either the handlebars or the stem.
  3. Low maintenance hub brakes and gears: enclosed and sealed from all weathers, hub brakes and gears are long-lasting and robust and provide excellent stopping power come rain or shine.
  4. Westwood rims with gold hand-lined pin-striping: manufactured to exactly the same profile as the original steel rims, these special Westwood rims feature a wide single-wall cross section in aluminium for corrosion resistance and reduced weight.
  5. Classic single speed or 3 speed hub gears options: The classic single speed option (shown) is where clean lines and simplicity - no gear cabling or shifters - is your cup of tea, and speed is more important than distance.  The traditional 3 speed option, with easy-shift thumb lever, allows you to race along on flatter terrain, as well as tackle inclines whilst out on longer day rides.
  6. Classic cream tyres with puncture protection and reflective side-walls: With robust, densely-woven carcass' that offer great puncture resistance, but using a fabric that needs less rubber coating and thus has a reduced weight. An inner Kevlar Guard belt provides additional puncture protection and a reflective band around the circumference of the tyre walls provide extra visibility after darkness.
  7. Traditional Brooks B17 leather saddle with titanium chassis: A 100 year old design, this saddle is the lightweight titanium chassis version of Brooks' flagship model. The leather allows the saddle to breathe and form to your shape over time becoming uniquely comfortable. It's finished with large hand-beaten copper rivets and comes with handy rear luggage loops.
  8. Iconic Path Racer frame with dynamic riding position: Authentic 1930s frame with long stable wheelbase and relaxed steering geometry, suited to speed cycling as well as longer day rides. The frame is hand-built using 100 year old traditional methods - with original lightweight Reynolds 531 tubing hand-brazed into lugs - for the attention to detail that only a frame crafted by hand can possess. With traditional tubular crown forks and specially formed D section stays.

Pashley’s cycles come in a variety of frame sizes. To select the correct frame size for you, first measure your inside leg length (from the sole of your foot to the inner top of your thigh) in inches. Then, use the table below to find the frame size you will need.

Please note that your inside leg length may fall in-between two frame sizes. If so, you may wish to choose the larger frame size if you have relatively long legs for your height and the smaller frame size if you have relatively short legs for your height.

The frame size in inches is the distance between the centrepoint of the cycle's bottom bracket (where the pedal arm extends from) and the top of the frame's seat tube (where the seatpost enters the frame).
 

Saddle and Handlebar Position

 

All models have easy seat height adjustment, with some fore and aft movement and angle adjustment for fine tuning your riding position. The saddle should ideally sit level or be slightly tilted downwards and the height should be set so that, with the pedal at its lowest position and the ball of your foot (in normal shoes) on the pedal, your leg is very slightly bent. If you then place your heel on the pedal, your leg should be straight. On step-over frame models (e.g. the Princess) you should be able to ‘put a foot down’ when you stop, whilst on leg-over frame models (e.g. the Roadster), as they are built to a traditional pattern with a high bottom bracket, you will need to slip off the saddle when you come to a halt.

Your cycle’s handlebar can be raised and lowered, and also canted to give the most comfortable riding position. If a shorter reach is required, the handlebar stem can be reversed bringing the handlebar much closer to the rider.
